Get preschoolers excited to learn the ABC's by having them act out the alphabet. Read The Graphic Alphabet and talk about how each letter looks like the word on the page. Tell the preschoolers that they are going to get a chance to use their bodies to make each letter in the alphabet.

The Alphabet - the writing system based on more or less rigorous follow the so-called phonetic principle, consistent with a symbol (a letter) corresponds to a sound in any language. Today is the beginning, most widespread in the world, of the letter. Not actually used any alphabet only one language, the truth, the greater the number who speak it as on native - Chinese.

In today's world are brought tens of thousands of separate alphabets and alphabets that follow the principle also phonetic. They are very different from the external side, the historical origin, also by the degree of conformity to the ideal - the principle of unambiguous conformity between the letter and sound. As much as the Latin alphabet used for English, most alphabets have 20 to 30 letters, although some, such as the Latin alphabet adapted to the language of Hawaii, have only 12 letters, and others.
The word "alphabet"is the name of the first two letters of the Greek alphabet - alpha and beta. The Greeks contributed to the spread of the alphabetical letter to most countries.
